US entertainer Nicki Minaj was fined $1,000 on Monday, July 25, for using indecent language during her performance on Reggae Sumfest at Catherine Hall in Montego Bay, St. James on Saturday, July 23.
Nicki, whose given name is Onika Maraj, was served with a summons to appear in court on Thursday, July 28, on the charges.
However, her attorney made an appeal for the matter to be put forward to Monday.
He then pleaded guilty on her behalf and was fined $1,000.
It was the Trinidadian-born superstar?s very first stage performance in Jamaica.
